How to get a Cherry Log in Survival Mode

You can add a cherry log to your inventory in Survival mode by chopping down a cherry tree. So, let's get started!

1. Find a Cherry Tree

First, you need to find a cherry tree in your Minecraft world. Cherry trees are found in the Cherry Grove biome.

2. Hold an Axe

Although you can use your hand to chop down a cherry tree, we prefer to use a tool such as an axe. These are the axes you can choose from:

In this example, we are going to use a diamond axe because it is a faster tool to chop down a cherry tree.

3. Chop the Tree Trunk

The game control to chop down the tree trunk of a cherry tree depends on the version of Minecraft:

For Java Edition (PC/Mac), left click and hold on the cherry tree.
For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap and hold on the cherry tree.
For Xbox One, press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller.
For PS4, press and hold the R2 button on the PS controller.
For Nintendo Switch, press and hold the ZR button on the controller.
For Windows 10 Edition, left click and hold on the cherry tree.

You will need to continue to chop until a small cherry log finally appears.

4. Pick up the Cherry Log

Make sure you pick up the cherry log before it disappears.
