About Us

After launching TechOnTheNet.com in 2003, we started to have families of our own and discovered the game called Minecraft. Our homes became filled with talk of creepers, lava, TNT, redstone, swords, and bows.

We wanted to save ourselves the trouble of running out and buying a Minecraft book for the kids to learn the basics, so we came up with the idea to create a website with everything that we had learned about the game. So we got the kids involved, took screenshots and created DigMinecraft.com.

Our Other Sites

TechOnTheNet.com

We started TechOnTheNet.com in 2003 to provide a source of information about databases and MS Office products that we used on the job ourselves. When we needed to quickly look up a syntax or example, the site was always there and saved many hours of time! As we learned more, we added more to the site.

The site started as an Excel, Oracle/PLSQL, and SQL resource and has grown to much more than that! Now, you can find help on many other technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, HTML and CSS.

BigActivities.com

We started to have families of our own and encountered the age old question of "how can we keep the kids busy while we are working?!"

We came up with the idea to create kids activities that were educational and fun. We wanted to use them for our own kids but also make them available to others. So we created BigActivities.com where you can find lots of coloring pages, connect the dots, word searches, mazes, math worksheets, and so much more!! Many of the activities are dynamic and change each time you visit.

CheckYourMath.com

After getting back to work now that the kids were occupied, we found it frustrating that there were few good resources out there for conversions and other math calculations. For example, when searching for conversions, it was difficult to find everything you were looking for in one place. So we created a new site called CheckYourMath.com.

The site started as a resource for Metric, Imperial, and US Customary Unit conversions. Since then, we've also added Geometry calculations. Now when the kids ask us, "How many ounces are in a gallon?" ... or ... "How do you calculate the area of a triangle?!" No problem...just look it up on CheckYourMath.com.
