Required Materials to Breed Hoglins
In Minecraft, these are the materials you can use to breed hoglins:
Steps to Breed Hoglins
1. Find Two Hoglins
First, you will need to find two hoglins to breed. You can find hoglins in the Crimson Forest biome or in the Bastion Remnant, both of which are in the Nether.

This is what a hoglin looks like:
If you are having trouble finding hoglins, you can summon a hoglin using a cheat or you can use a spawn egg.
Since hoglins are hostile mobs, it is best to put them in a fenced area.
2. Use the Crimson Fungus
Next, with the crimson fungus selected in your hot bar, you will need to feed the crimson fungus to each of the hoglins, one at a time.
The game control to use/feed the crimson fungus to the hoglins depends on the version of Minecraft:
- For Java Edition (PC/Mac), right click on the hoglins one at a time.
- For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap on the hoglins one at a time.
- For Xbox One, press the LT button on the Xbox controller.
- For PS4, press the L2 button on the PS controller.
- For Nintendo Switch, press the ZL button on the controller.
- For Windows 10 Edition, right click on the hoglins one at a time.
- For Education Edition, right click on the hoglins one at a time.
As you feed the crimson fungus to the hoglins, you will see red hearts appear over their heads. Each of these hoglins is entering love mode.
Once you have fed both hoglins, they will turn to each other and red hearts will continue to appear over their heads.
After a moment, the red hearts will disappear and a cute baby hoglin will be standing there.
Now you will have two adult hoglins and one baby hoglin.
Congratulations, you just learned how to breed hoglins in Minecraft!
