1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make chiseled deepslate, place 2 cobbled deepslate slabs in the 3x3 crafting grid.

When making chiseled deepslate, it is important that the cobbled deepslate slabs are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 1 cobbled deepslate slab in the second box. In the second row, there should be 1 cobbled deepslate slab in the second box.
