How to get an Armadillo Scute in Survival Mode
There are two ways to add an armadillo scute to your inventory in Survival mode.
The first method involves finding an armadillo and patiently waiting for it to drop an Armadillo Scute (similar to how a chicken lays an egg). This can take a few minutes and requires a little patience.
However, the second method is much faster and is done with a Brush. Let's explore how to get an armadillo scute using a Brush.
1. Find an Armadillo
First, you will need to find an armadillo. This is what an armadillo looks like in Minecraft:

Armadillos are usually found in the Savanna or Badlands (Mesa) biomes.

2. Use the Brush
Next, with the brush selected in your hot bar, you will need to brush the armadillo.
The game control to brush the armadillo depends on the version of Minecraft:
- For Java Edition (PC/Mac), right click on the armadillo.
- For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap on the armadillo.
- For Xbox One, press the LT button on the Xbox controller.
- For PS4, press the L2 button on the PS controller.
- For Nintendo Switch, press the ZL button on the controller.
- For Windows 10 Edition, right click on the armadillo.

As you brush the armadillo, you will see an armadillo scute pop out from the top of the armadillo and land on the ground.

advancement.
3. Pick up the Armadillo Scute
Make sure you pick up the armadillo scute before it disappears.
