Required Materials to make a Golden Helmet
In Minecraft, these are the materials you can use to craft a golden helmet:
How to craft a Golden Helmet in Survival Mode
1. Open the Crafting Menu
First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:
2. Add Items to make a Golden Helmet
In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make a golden helmet, place 5 gold ingots in the 3x3 crafting grid.
When making a golden helmet, it is important that the gold ingots are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. There should be 3 gold ingots in the first row and 2 gold ingots in the second row at either sides (the middle box should be left empty). This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a golden helmet.
Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the golden helmet will appear in the box to the right.
3. Move the Golden Helmet to Inventory
Once you have crafted a golden helmet, you need to move the new item to your inventory.
Congratulations, you have made a golden helmet in Minecraft!

For armor items, durability is the number of hits (that can be blocked by armor) before the item is destroyed. So the higher the durability number, the longer the item will last.
The following table shows the durability for each helmet/cap in Minecraft:
